Actress Evan Rachel Wood is denying reports that her Marilyn Manson rebound man is her broken-down “The Wrestler” co-star Mickey Rourke .
The 21-year-old actress, who split from the rocker/freak show last month, wants everyone to know that she and Mickey, 56, are just friends.
“Spread the word - I’m not dating Mickey Rourke,” Wood told People . “Everyone thinks we’re dating and we’re not.’
However, Rachel added that she and the “Sin City” star bonded while shooting “The Wrestler.”
“We became friends, but nothing more,” she said. “I guess, because of my recent breakup, I will be linked to many people . . . any rumor should not be taken seriously.”
Rourke also denied the romance.
“No, no, I’m a big fan of hers and she’s a big fan of mine,” he said.
Wood also cleared up some gossip surrounding her breakup from the Goth rocker.
“Manson and I both decided to take some time apart so we could concentrate on work,” the actress said. “It’s not the nasty thing everybody thinks it is . . . I’m just enjoying being on my own.”
